Words can’t describe the feeling of seeing all of your pain, hard work, patience, and dedication reflect before your eyes.
In my first 3 months of Dropshipping w/ FB Ads, I lost a total of 4k due to falling in love with the wrong products, not paying attention to my cash flow or metrics, and trying to scale too fast.
On the 10th day of May I happened to come across a product that I honestly did not think would blow up the way it did – but I tested it anyways. It is actually something no one else has advertised before just by searching around in FB and also the lack of orders it had on numerous Aliexpress Supplier Stores. And what do you know, it made a sale the first day I tested it. Then the sales gradually started to increase as I slowly started to introduce more and more adsets. It got to a point that after the first week I clearly knew it was a winner due to the fact that I was left with a solid amount of adsets with ROAS > 3 and my optimal CPP.
Fast forward to now, it is now able to consistently hit over 1k and it’s only increasing by the day. If you notice, on the 7th day I’ve hit an all time high of $1,854.37. So I wouldn’t be surprised if I break 2k by this weekend or the next.
What I’ve taken away from this:
1) Untapped products are a sure way to gain sales if you can find them – they are all over the place you just have to look deep into aliexpress. What I like to do is look through Supplier Store pages and sort their products by orders or new arrivals. New arrivals are definitely a good way to find a product that can serve a market that nobody else is.
2) Scale SLOWLY – i found that duplicating a winning $5 adset to $20 or $40 right off the bat would always just end up flopping. The technique that i’ve used to get me to this level was just by simply duplicating winning adsets 3x with an increase of $5. Ex. duplicating a $5 adset into 3 $10 adsets. I would then kill off whatever was unprofitable within 24 or 48 hours. Oh, and I also added exclusions of product view contents to make sure my adsets were always finding new people.
3) Dropshipping AINT DEAD
If you’re still currently in the testing phase and not seeing the results you’re hoping for, do not get discouraged and feel like giving up. I’ve went through major ups and downs throughout my 3 – what felt so long – months of dropshipping and with each bad day, I always kept in the back of my mind that if there are SO MANY youtubers and other gurus finding success with it, then why the hell cant I?
I lost 4k in a matter of a couple months and got hit with a 25% reserve from shopify payments and did that stop me from keeping it going? Nah. I’m just glad I had a lot of credit cards tho ?
So stick to the process, be patient, never stop learning, never stop testing.
